Christening Card

Hi All,

I have recently recieved a request for a personalised card, as this is my first card for a christening, I thought I would share it with you all...!

I enjoy colouring with my promarkers so I always try to include a stamped image on my cards.  I really struggled at first to think of what type of image to use but when I found this digi stamp, 'Cuddle Cloud Baby' at Meljen's designs, I thought I had to use it as it is sooo cute!

I paired up the image with some papers from my 'New Leaf' 8x8 from Papiers creation and little bits and bobs I have had lying in my embellishment drawerwhich were just waiting to be used, including lace ribbon and pearl gems from Craft time.

For the lettering I used my new Sizzix Zingo alphabet die using my Big Shot from Sizzix, which I love! I usually do everything by hand but with my new cutting machine I am getting addicted to cutting out personalised lettering in matching papers!

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon!

Welcome!

Well, here I am! I'm so excited to make my very first post to my Lisa Anne Designs blog! I've always been truly inspired by the creative arts and always enjoyed getting lost in my own little crafty world and I have finally decided to give the world of craft blogging a go!

Over the years I have always enjoyed creating handmade and personalised items for all my friends and family and in most recent years I have branched out into making cards.

Twelve months ago, a friend of mine saw many of my handmade cards stored in my craft room and suggested that I try to sell them, even if it was just for a bit of extra pocket money to pay for more crafting goodies! I would always enjoy making cards but would never do anything with them as I have never been confident enough in my crafting ability to think anyone would like them, let alone purchase one!

I have since brought them in to my place of work and have had a lot of great feedback! As well as being able to make a little money to fund my crafting addiction, I have also been able to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, which is a charity close to my heart, by donating a small contribution to the charity from every one of my cards purchased.

I enjoy referring to many crafting blogs to help get my creative juices flowing, especially for those times when you can have 'creative block' and following another nudge by a friend I have decided to try and create my own blog and join the great online crafting community and hopefully share my love of crafting and the arts with you all. Here we go...... :)
